+ I am late again this post... Tomorrow is 27 weeks!
+ Charlotte is all over the place these days and it is such an amazing feeling!
+ Work has been keeping me so busy... June is the end of our year so things get crazy! That being said, I haven't done much of anything in regard to baby prep. I did a few minor paint touch ups in the nursery. I am hoping to get on the crown moulding this weekend.
+ I really did not want to spend any more money on elective ultrasounds however I am seriously considering getting a 3D/4D done of our girl! It feels like you get so many ultrasounds in the first half of your pregnancy.... then nothing!
+ Oh, and I did book a infant photographer that I am pretty excited about! I am typically so against maternity pictures but am on the hunt for a tasteful photographer... just incase I change my mind! ;)

Week 25
+ How big does my belly look?!
+ Baby Girl is starting to develop more consistent movements. I feel her moving a ton at night when I am laying down.
+ I can feel her kick from the outside of my stomach. Lily, one of our dogs, was sitting on my stomach the other day and Charlotte decided to give her a kick.
+ Speaking of dogs, I have been thinking a lot more about how the dogs are going to react to having a little baby around the house. I have heard to make sure we bring home baby blankets from the hospital before we get home. I also read that I should not be the one carrying Charlotte in the house for the first time. I am sure everyone will adjust but the three doxies are use to getting all the attention up until this point.
+ Tim went to a " Daddy Boot Camp" at the hospital we will deliver at. They ask previous participants to come back with their infants to teach the next round of dads. He said they mainly ran it like a Q & A session but he came home excited and I think he learned a thing or two.
+ I had brunch with some other "moms-to-be" while he was at the Boot Camp. It was nice to be able to talk baby without having to worry about boring anyone.
+ I scored a baby bath for $5 on the clearance rack at Target. That being said one whole side of my house is being taken over my baby stuff since the nursery isn't ready. I really need to get on that!

Everything is Breaking!
So, I think I jinxed myself! I mentioned here that we still had one more door to replace in the house but weren't in any huge rush. Well, the door decided to give up on me the other night. I went outside to take the recycling out to the curb and the bottom of the door literally fell out.
Upon closer inspection, I realized the whole thing was completely rotting and peeling off. My dad has been SO busy and unfortunately, this door is going to be a challenge to replace so this isn't something I feel comfortable doing alone. I picked out a door and contacted Lowe's about installing it... they charge double the price of the door for install. It KILLS me to pay for labor!
Oh and the door isn't the only thing happening on that side of the house. The other morning, I woke up to this.
My side gate literally fell off the side of the house! I think it happened because the lock fell off and the gate swung too far inward with the wind and ripped itself off the wall. It also took a nice chunk of stucco with it! Nothing that can't be fixed :)
Doing my mini guest bath makeover inspired me to switch out the shower fixture. Only things are never as straightforward as they seem. That being said, my guest bath shower currently has no water and looks like this.
I will share more about this little adventure once things are all wrapped up. It has been quite the eventful week over here. I am hoping I have had my fair share and things will calm down. Needless to say, you know what I will be doing this weekend!

Week 24
+ I had my 24 week check-up today. Baby's heartbeat sounded good and everything else was on point as well.
+ On a side note, today is also our date-aversary.. we have come a long way in 9 years! :)
+ Weight gain was a little more than I was hoping for. The doctor doesn't seem too concerned. I am up about 14 lbs to date..... which is about 4 more than I was hoping for at this point. I am just going to watch my carbs a little as I do find that I am eating more white flour than usual.
+ We really didn't do any "baby prep" this week. I must admit it was kind of nice to have a relaxing weekend with no house projects.
+ Next appointment is my glucose test. I am really hoping that I pass the one hour as I do not want to have to take the three hour test!

Week 23
+ I am feeling HUGE these days. I am staying off the scale unless I go to the doctor so I can't speak to weight gain this week.
+ Last week, Pottery Barn Kids was having a Memorial Day promotion for free shipping. If you shop Pottery Barn at all, you know that promo codes are few and far between. So I decided to order Charlotte's bedding and saved $27 on shipping! It came in the mail yesterday and I LOVE it.
+ I decided to forgo the bumper for now. I really love the look of the traditional bumpers but they are supposedly a "no no". I am not a fan of the breathable mesh bumpers either though so I am not sure where I will end up with that! Anyone have any other suggestions?
+ I also purchased a used Mamaroo! I like the size of the Mamaroo and the fact that it is a neutral black color. I ended up getting both the swing and the infant insert for half of what it would retail for.
+ Baby is over 1 pound now and is moving constantly! It is so odd to see your entire stomach shift as the baby moves... but also such a blessing!
+ Next week I head to the doctor's for my monthly check up. I must admit I am a little bummed that we don't get anymore ultrasounds. It feels like such a long time to go without seeing her!
